Steven Garrity on web design

Steven Garrity has written one of the best pieces on web design that I’ve seen recently.

He’s migrating his development environment from ColdFusion (.cfm) to PHP and asking some of the right questions. Instead of asking questions to show off or confront someone else, Garrity is asking tough questions because he sincerely wants feedback and is intent on learning how best to approach a tough situation (in this case tables vs. Cascading Style Sheets).

Maybe I’m finding writing like Garrity’s refreshing because I just finished reading a book on a related topic that got very good reviews but was almost complete crap from a real-world workflow point of view.

Highly recommended.
