Cory Doctorow, of multiple fames (EFF, boingboing, books written faster than I can read them, and more) has instigated the almost immediate overturning two long-standing anti-attendee policies at SXSW through a single posting on boingboing.
Check this sequence of boingboing entries out:
- Let’s reform SXSW’s no-photos, no-electricity policies
- Updated: Let’s reform SXSW’s no-photos, no-electricity policies
- Updated AGAIN: Let’s reform SXSW’s no-photos, no-electricity policies
Reinforcing my belief that he’s clearly not human, Cory probably participated in a couple of SXSW seminars during all of that. I don’t think I was even out of bed yet while all of that was going on.
Update: While the anti-attendee policies were indeed overturned, this entry in the SXSW community weblog indicates there were lots of folks involved in pushing and pulling the process, including one Austin-based participant who emailed his city councilwoman from the event.
