We’re getting so close to a better information environment. Here’s John Robb on a new way to organize information on your desktop and within workgroups and even entire enterprises: desktop data silos. It doesn’t make much sense today, but on Friday, when the company John works for releases a new version of one of its products, it will all start to come together conceptually.
I’m not sure that organizing information by time is appropriate in all situations, but it’s certainly no worse than any other organization scheme and at least it;s something we can control ourselves.
